If you are getting a flat shape, your tension isn’t as tight as mine. There are no decreases in this pattern. Try using a smaller hook or making sure your chain stitches are nice and tight.

Myself and a friend in my crochet group have tried this pattern and could never get it to work. It keeps coming out as a doily and you never decrease could you check and let me know what we are doing wrong. Thanks much

No one in my family knows I crochet, so we’ll see what they say about my hat. It seems a little big, though I did use a G hook and skipped rows 14-15. It is cute, though!!! Suggestions to make a smaller hat?

I am going to use this to match the scarf I am making for my sister! I know the scarf is supposed to go with the “professional” hat but this is so much cuter and still has the shell edging! Me and my sister are very “bohemian” so this will be awesome.

Oh and I LOVE the yoga-mat bag! I lost my yoga-mat in my recent move from PA to WA, but when I get another one I am def making that bag! (I also have to find a yoga group/class out here grr…)

I love this hat! I took a few tries ’cause I kept adding stitches to each row. I figured it out though, and had to eliminate a couple rows to fit my head! Thanks for such a great pattern! Here’s my hat (I made a flower instead of a star though!)
