So far, in the last month or so, I’ve broken two [tag]sewing machine[/tag] needles and bent one (today). This is getting ridiculous! I know I’ve been [tag]sewing[/tag] like a crazy woman lately, and when I worked at [tag]Hancock Fabrics[/tag] there were people who came in and bought needles all the time… but this seems excessive….

I made myself a schedule for the countdown ’till the Bizzare… and I’m already behind. Hopefully I’ll catch up over the next few days! I’ve also been going through the motions of [tag]becoming a “legal” small business[/tag], so that I can try to make Joyful Abode bigger and better! I got my [tag]sales and use…

I joined. I joined a while ago. I wasn’t going to, but then I realized I was already about halfway through the month and had posted every day. So… I joined. And then I was halfway sort of a little ashamed that I jumped on the bandwagon, so I didn’t tell anyone. Some really neat…

Our Thanksgiving get-together was a lot of fun. We had six guests, so eight in all. It was me, the guy, five of his friends from college, and one girlfriend of a guy. We had some interesting situations, like running out of chairs and sending one guy back to his house to get his roommate’s…

If you asked me this afternoon how many people were going to be at my house for Thanksgiving this year, I would have told you four, including me and The Man. Then I extended an invitation to a co-worker, who may be coming and bringing another co-worker. So four, maybe six. Then I got home,…

I recently signed up for a swap through Craftster and was paired up with Tuesday as my partner. I was so excited! She basically told me that she loves turquoise and brown together, hates orange and red, and wanted a surprise apron! So I set to work making a special apron just for her. The…

This dish was a cafeteria success story when I was at Winthrop University. My friends and I looked forward to the days the pasta station served up freshly made Bowtie Ballet with eager hearts and anticipatory stomachs. In fact, we marked those days (about once every six weeks) on our calendars, complete with little pink…

I’ve created some recipe card sets with my illustrations just for you! Or, you know… your parents, siblings, friends, teachers, or co-workers. They’d make great stocking stuffers or additions to any kitchen or house-warming gift basket. The illustrations came straight from my head and out of my pen. After some computer-manipulation, they became 4″x6″ recipe…
