I was so glad to see your website. Thank you for posting your pictures. I have been doing CDH at our current location for over a year now. Our base is small and I am the only Provider at present so having a resource like yours to be in contact with other CDH Providers will be great!! Love seeing other CDH set ups too.. Good luck with your program!!

Hello! I saw a photo of your space on Flickr and had to check out the rest! It looks like a great place to play & learn!
I work for a Resource and Referral agency and thought I would share a couple links with you- you may already know this but just in case! Not exactly sure where you are but our agency offers training for providers and we have a resource library. You can find one in your area by visiting: http://www.childcareaware.org/en/
Also, http://www.naeyc.org has some great brochures and info.

I left a response over in LJ before I realized you probably wouldn’t see it. My bad.

Instead of searching for “child development home” resources, search for “homeschool preschool” and you’ll find loads of links to educational resources, crafts, games, etc. I remember the website http://www.universalpreschool.com/ being particularly helpful when I my daughter was preschool age.

Emily–how VERY sweet! I love your little set up! I can’t believe the amount of cool things you were able to borrow from the lending hangar (or whatever Navy people call it!) and the library–wow!

One thing I’ve done the past few years is call the local libraries and find out when their book sales are going to be. I can buy used children’s books for GREAT prices–sometimes they are more worn than normal, and sometimes they are older editions, and sometimes they are pristine and library copies!

If/when you get your forum up, I’d LOVE to be a part of it, as I just started homeschooling my kiddos, and love getting ideas! It’s been a blast with them! We’ll probably end up doing school later today (on a Sat), cause our week has been so weird. And because they’ve been asking about it all day.

Anyway, best wished for you! I’m so glad all your prep has paid off, and that you have two little ones to teach now! Fun, fun!
