Turkey Edamame Pasta
I couldn’t call my blog Domesticity by Trial and Error if there were never any errors, right?
I thought it was a good idea, and the guy seemed to like it well enough but I’d actually put this into the ERROR category… probably won’t be making it again, at least not without some huge modifications.
Tri-color rotini, soybeans, and turkey breast meat (yum to all three of those)…
Then I made a dressing out of fat free sour cream and soy sauce. Usually to me, sour cream and soy sauce = yum. It’s delicious on baked potatoes or as a dip for chips or fries. And I thought it would be good here with the soybeans especially.
Well I think because the sour cream was fat free (which has to use stabilizers to give it sour creamy texture since there’s no fat in it… otherwise it’s essentially buttermilk) there was some sort of not-happy response when I put it over the hot pasta, almost like it melted or collapsed or something.
It didn’t taste BAD but I did find myself trying to find the soybeans so I could just munch on them mostly.
Have you had a recipe ERROR lately? What was it? Can it be saved for next time or does it just go in the “never again” category?
