They Grow so Quickly When They’re Young

After only a few days, look what’s happening!
Cucumber!
Cucumbers, popping up like nobody’s business! The craziest thing is that a few hours after I took this photo, I peeked again and there were several more that had exploded out of the soil.

Cantaloupe!
Good morning, little cantaloupes!

Basil! Oregano!
Basil! And that teeeeeny little one on the far right is oregano.

Tomato!
Tomato!

Can you believe it? Spring is here and it’s IN MY HOUSE!

Wow. I started mine a while ago, and I still haven’t seen any seedlings. :-(

Yup, I’m starting the seeds in egg containers. I wasn’t sure if there would be one last freeze but I was too impatient to wait, so this is a good compromise. This weekend we’re going to build our raised garden beds, and I can get them into the “ground” then. Very exciting!

Are you growing them in egg containers? Do you replant them outside? Sorry I have no idea!

Kristi, I’m not sure what veggies do well in not-full sun, but I’m sure there are some. Maybe visit your local garden shop and ask for their advice!

These photos were actually taken a few days ago, and now? HUUUUGE seedlings. I’ll have to do another update on them soon. We’re planning on building our garden beds this weekend. I cannot wait!

This is inspiring! Makes me want to go buy some seeds… too bad we get NO sun on our property – definitely a damper on my gardening dreams.
