I found a great bean salsa recipe (it's also called 'Southern Caviar') that is a big hit every time I make it. Even people who say they hate beans really love this. It's a very healthy and light bean dip. The only trouble with it is the recipe makes a huge batch so it's best to make it for a party or for people who really love it and can finish it in a few days. If you want the recipe, I can send it to you!

You could make Hoppin John. Fry up Onions - lots - in a little bacon grease - with some chopped carrot and celery. Add a can of black eyed peas or field peas and a cup or two of cooked rice. I know you'd LOVE it. :-)

I love this! So cute! And I'm with you - I'd much rather use beans to hold up some candles than eat them. Beans, candle wax, what's the difference?? :)

When you find some good bean recipes please pass them on to fellow bean haters. My husband will be a harder sell than I am!

You need to like beans... do you like Baked Beans (good brown sugary ones, like Bush's?) How about refried beans in your Mexican food? A good spicy black bean dip? Those are great starters without making a meal out of it since you aren't sure. I don't have the recipes with me, but you can easily find one on the internet. Once you've tried a few of these, then you'll figure out what spices/food combinations will make YOU like beans, and then look for more recipes with those combinations.
