It’s a good thing I did sort-of step-by-step photos for this one, because these photos are from a while ago and I don’t even remember eating this! Let’s see…
Ruffles pasta (I LOVE that shape) and asparagus, washed and “snapped.”
Looks like I’m boiling some water and also sauteing some mushrooms. I bet it smelled really good in the kitchen!
I was so clever, using the kitchen scissors to cut up the asparagus right over the pan!
Yummy! I love when the mushrooms start to get a little brown like that.
Then a generous sprinkling of lemon pepper (which also has salt in it, so go easy on the salt if you need to add more).
And a splash of lemon juice.
And look! The pasta is done at the same time!
Mix it all up and serve it (and I’m sure I tossed everything with a little EVOO too, because that’s just tasty, and probably added more lemon pepper).
Simple flavors that go YUM in your mouth.

Thanks Emily! I’ll have to give McCormick a try. Same here about the lemony, kind of the reason I was thinking of mixing my own. I am guessing it’s just lemon zest a ground peppercorns. Maybe a side project for avoiding whole lemon waste.
Thanks Vicki! I hope you enjoy any that you try.
Let me know how they turn out for you.
Doug, I just buy it… I like the ones that are more lemony than peppery though, so I buy the ones with lots of yellow. haha. I think McCormick is a pretty good brand.
Did you make or buy the lemon pepper seasoning? I’ve been thinking of making my own and was curious whether you had.
Thanks, I’m always looking for yummy dishs. You have some great ones here.
