As a late-reply, my wife bought a pair of these, and absolutely loves them. She's effectively a barefooter by nature, though. Having tried on a pair at a local specialty-shoe-store (fantastic place), I'm planning on getting some myself. They're quite well made, fitting even my long-toed feet, and my current pair of shoes has Vibram soles which last and last and last, so I'd expect these to not wear out any time soon.

I also keep finding LOADS of people who have tried them and absolutely swear by them, even long-time real-barefoot-runners. Word-of-mouth advertising is usually the best way to go, and these have been 100% positive so far.

Awesome, you are so lucky! A friend at work wears those sometimes and he likes them. Yes, they look odd though. They say running barefoot is very good for your form. :)

OK... geez, for some reason I read the 56 bones in your feet thing and thought it meant EACH foot. Boy do I feel silly now!

206 bones is the standard for adults (while younger, you have a few more, but they fuse as you mature). So yeah, as others have noted, 56 (I'm finding 52 elsewhere) is a bit below half. 'Tis a lot, though.

They look interesting... I'd definitely have to try them before I buy them, though, as my toes are too long for ANY toe socks I've ever tried. I'll have to hunt them down now, though, thanks for the highlight :)

I love those shoes; it's the closest thing i've felt to walking barefoot. I thought I'd put in a comment about the number of bones we have...you were close. There are 52 bones in your feet. But that's not half of your whole collection. We have just over 200 bones--fun factoid if I've ever heard one. The number varies but 200 is a round about estimate.

Congratulations on your win! Well deserved, I must say, I loved your idea. What an interesting prize, I've never heard of those. Will you give us a report of how they do on a run?

Congrats!

So, you went for the Sprints?? Let me know how you like them. :)

So exciting! Give yourself about a week of wearing them to get used to how it feels. At first, I felt mine all the time, but now when I put them on, it just feels normal. (But make sure they're not too long--space in front of your longest toe or in your heel--OR too short--your toes push into the end, which usually does not feel good.)
