I guess I should’ve done something cute like dress in pink and hold a giant heart or something, but today it’s blue and just me.
This is a fun project so far and it’s really making me reflect on THIS WEEK versus letting the whole “journey” blur together – I like that.
About the banana run – It was my husband’s first “pregnancy run” to the store. I did NOT “make him” go. In fact, I told him over and over that he didn’t have to go. I took my prenatal vitamin on an empty stomach like a fool (he says, “I pity the fool!”), because I forgot to take it with dinner. I became SO nauseated and the only thing I thought might help w/that is a banana – but we didn’t have any in the house.
He is VERY sweet but I felt so bad for him running out at midnight to look for bananas.
He said that since I wasn’t TELLING him to go get something or being bitchy and it was something I “needed” versus something like “man I could go for some chicken nuggets right now”… that is why he wanted to go. He is definitely a sweet guy.
And the banana helped almost instantly.
So now it’s Valentine’s day – we were hoping to do some more yard work but it was a miserable morning – all foggy and chilly and such. So we watched some of Bones: Season 5 (my gift to him – he LOVES that show) and he has tinkered with his car a bit.
I’m making meatballs for dinner, from our grass-fed ground beef. I am very excited to use GOOD meat- can’t wait to get in the kitchen and get started! I’m also going to steam some artichokes and make some sort of sauce to go with them. Usually I do hollandaise but since hubs isn’t totally crazy for it the way I am, maybe I’ll try something new that he might like better… like a sour-cream based dip of some sort.
Anyway, without further ado, here is this week’s photo and baby note. (Pretty sure you can click on it to get the original size if you want.) I look SO much bigger than last week, but part of it is the clothes. This shirt (and another one I have just like it but in a different color) makes me look SUPER pregnant, and these pants let it “all hang out” versus the jeans I wore last week. Regardless, I probably AM actually growing too. haha. If only my hair would grow faster so I could get out of this awkward short-haircut-growing-out phase…

Hey! Found you on The Daily Apple.
I'm a primal/paleo preggo as well!

I love these picture ideas! You look fantastic! Also I read a few of the comments below and the yoga pants are super smart. I did the same thing and they fit me through the whole pregnancy and then made super comfy “I have not slept in 6 days and I just want to be comfprtable pants” for the way back down after baby pops out. thanks for sharing your journey with us!
very cute idea! i had my baby 4 weeks ago and during my pregnancy we took a photo of me standing in the same spot and wearing the same shirt every few weeks. I put them all side by side in photoshop and made a long photo strip of all the photos. It was fun to see my baby and belly grow!
good luck to you and your pregnancy. being pregnant is the easy job, taking care of a newborn is A LOT of work!

Thank you, thank you, and thank you!

aww that is so sweet of you to say.
But yeah, I think I'll stay away from the snow for now.
I really want my baby to come either like 2 weeks early or 4 days late. Husband will be gone from weeks 38-40 (coming back day before the due date) with the Navy. My midwife will also be on vacation during that time.
You look so sweet
Are these maternity clothes or are you still getting away with your old clothes?
Man I wish you lived in Ohio! I have a huge bag of adorable maternity clothes that would probably fit you! Then again you'd be in 1-2 feet of snow, and so – no, I think you'd better stay where you are
You are looking adorable!! So exciting, almost 1/2 way there! For me time kind flew by after that, until around 36-37 weeks. Then I was *begging* my sons to make an early entrance. (Neither did, my 1st was born on his due date and my 2nd was 4 days late – not too bad tho) But that was me, I didn't enjoy pregnancy, it was very hard on my body and my hips were breaking down at that point. I welcomed labor though, and it wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be!!
I love how you are documenting your pregnancy for your little one!! I am also happy that you are over the morning sickeness (all day sickness) phase. Congratulations. I think you look cute with your midlength hairstyle.

Thanks so much! I wish we lived closer – we could take the pictures together!!! Do you have a tripod? I think I asked you before but I forgot. I took these myself with a tripod and the remote control (which was only like $15 on amazon.com). Most cameras have self-timers even if they don't have a remote option… so you could still do it without hubby if you wanted.
Isn't it crazy to grow out of your clothes when you feel like you don't even look THAT pregnant yet? My more snug shirts were the first thing to go. Guess the “girls” growing REALLY early on isn't one of those myths.
Happy Valentine's day to you, hubby, and baby too!!! I hope you have/had a fantastic one.
Oh, and happy valentine's day to you, T and Baby!

Oh, I don't know if it's a girl or a boy yet… I meant pink for Valentine's Day – maybe that wasn't clear because I have pregnancy-brain. I'm not huge into purple but looooooooove teal.
Love the colors in this picture Emily. Today I completed 10 weeks and I wanted a picture taken but hubs is working tonight. I think we'll take one tomorrow.
My clothes are getting tighter. I can't believe the blouse that fit me last week feels really snug this week.
Pink is so overrated, who needs it! Purple and teal are my favorite baby girl colors
