24 Weeks Pregnant

I can’t believe there’s only 16ish weeks left. Less than 4 months. Time’s a-ticking! This coming Friday I have an appointment at the hospital, and then that evening we’re having our first Bradley childbirth class with a local instructor. Still haven’t scheduled a massage though! Everything is going smoothly.

Actually we did the class at the Pensacola Naval Hospital that they offered. It was basic breathing and relaxation techniques, and also included a tour of the maternity wing and things like how to hold baby, how to change a diaper, etc. It was a pretty comprehensive course… Oh and it was a 6 week course too, so all the info was spread out. I loved the breathing exercises though! It was relaxing!!!

You look so cute! And you have a proper baby bump to show off :) (can't wait for that, instead of the bloated-look)

I have 2 BCBG dresses that look very similar, I got them both from Macy's on sale. I got one of them this winter, I hope I can wear it atleast once this season before it gets too tight. Do you have TJMaxx or Marshall's in your city Emily? I usually find good BCBG stuff there.

That's awesome, V! Did you take any sort of class at all?

Wow, thank you SO much for commenting!
I'm really glad I found an instructor for Bradley too – it sounds right in line with what I would have hoped a class like that would be. Mine's going to be condensed into 7 weeks, but we'll still cover all the content, but the instructor wanted to make sure we get it done before the baby might decide to make an early arrival, just in case.
I'm glad to hear that your labor and delivery of your little girl was so smooth! I hope mine goes that way too.

Thanks Mamatha! I love love love that shirt – it was a hand-me-down from my boss. Wish I knew where to get more like it.

So I have never heard of the Bradley classes before, but I had a completely natural birth… I was so glad that I did, too. I didn't have any kind of pain medication and was very calm and relaxed the entire time. It went quickly and Landon was here before we even knew it! I am definitely having all of my kids the natural way.

I've been following your blog for years now on the LiveJournal feed, but I've never commented. I'm SO GLAD that you're taking a Bradley childbirth class! I was only able to take a very abbreviated version of the class (3 weeks), but was able to have a beautiful baby girl without any kind of pain medication or epidural, and it was WONDERFUL. I wouldn't have done it any other way. Congratulations to you & your hubby, and I'm so excited for your decision to have your beautiful girl naturally.
