To My Sweet Baby at 36 Weeks

Does this mean I’m now “9 months pregnant”? I’m 9 lunar months out of 10… and at the end of this week she’ll be “full term” and “allowed” to make her arrival! So if someone asks, do I say 8 months or 9?

Today I just said “three and a half weeks left!”

But really I know she could take 5 or even 6 weeks to arrive… if she’s stubborn.

I hope she decides to come sooner than that though. I can’t wait to meet her, to kiss her little cheeks, and pet her soft back while we snuggle. Oh, and it would be nice to have a bit of relief from these back aches and having to pee constantly, too. But mostly the excited-about-baby part.

Heavens how close it is now !!

The aching back… tends to continue! You have all that lifting and hefting of a little one… only tiny you say !!! BUT she carries on growing !! lol!! She will get bigger and bigger … so fast… and then she will be wriggling and yelling 'I don't WANT my car seat' before you know it! My back ache is carrying on now … as my GRANDchildren expect me to lift and carry them too !! Its great… but tiring!! lol!!

BTW … as I told my daughter the day her first baby was born… LOOK at him, remember this moment.. and all the next moments… they go SO quickly … and before you know it .. he will be a child and at school. OR .. grown and having babies of his own!

Yesterday… she reminded me of this conversation… as her little baby is almost 5 years old.. and is readying himself for school in August! She said… I didn't realise that time flew THAT fast mum… I really didn't!! :)

yeah, that peeing constantly thing doesn't stop–hahaha! Esp if you are nursing–you'll drink half a gallon of water before/during/after each nursing session! ;) Can't wait for the wee one's pics to be posted! Best wishes! :) Jen

How awesome!!! I had my baby at 36 weeks and 4 days. She wanted out early…or the E.D.D. was wrong. I went with the latter as she came out 7lbs. 1 oz. and didn't need any premie care. Congratulations on this miracle!! Best wishes for you and your expanding family!
