Anneliese is a cuddly sleeper. She’s on me or at least touching me every second of the night (after her first wakeup once I’m in bed, when she comes into my bed).
This morning, we snuggled for a while and she fell asleep again, and I managed to sneak out of the bed with her still in it, still asleep.
I just went in to check on her (over an hour later) and she is sleeping on her back – something she never ever does. She looked so peaceful and so sweet, I had to take a picture. But just one, because I didn’t want my camera sounds to wake her. Snuck out again.
Bliss.

I'm a Navy wife and stay at home mom of two beautiful children. I cook simple, delicious, grain-free recipes, do crafts, decorate my home on a budget, and keep a happy household. I tandem breastfeed, babywear, cloth diaper, practice elimination communication, homebirth, and co-sleep, but I'm not a hippie.

I just found your blog – LOVE.
I am a new mom to a 4 mth old. I BF and I try to baby-wear but I have yet to find a carrier I really feel comfortable with…any suggestions? I want to co-sllep too but I am still too mervous to co-sleep throughout the whole night! Any suggestions on that one too

I have three children, Lauren (11), Vivian (7) and Gavin (3 months). I breastfed, baby wore and co-slept with both daughters and now I am continuing with my son. What a wonderful experience to have that special closeness with my kids. I wouldn’t change anything about my choices!!
Saw this blog about fabric storage and organization and thought of you! http://www.smashedpeasandcarrots.blogspot.com/2010/11/mini-fabric-bolts-and-some-studio.html
That baby is the cutest. I’ve said it before and it hasn’t changed. Love seeing photos of her.
I breastfed both of my daughters, (28 and 25 now) and it was not a popular choice at the time. I kept at it though. Only about seven months each baby, but it was good.
Because of that, my oldest daughter especially was so used to feeling skin all the time that whenever anyone would pick her up and hold her as a baby – up to 18 months or more if I remember – she would directly put her hands down their shirt. Men too! So funny.

that’s exactly how my baby is! she sleeps so wonderfully in contact with someone but once she’s not she wakes up rather quickly. and she hates sleeping onher back too. she also doesn’t like to be swaddled anymore… if she happens to be caught sleeping on her back, her arms and legs are sprawled out everywhere!
too cute!
