This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Hills Pet Nutrition for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.
So I got this awesome kit from SocialSpark in the mail. Zora couldn’t keep away from the box when it was dropped on our doorstep. Wrestling her with Anneliese on my hip and trying to pick up this heavy package was a sight to see. You see, Zora KNEW it was for her. Because it was from Hill’s Pet Nutrition.
Inside was a Sony Bloggie video camera, so I could take some footage of Zora with the treats they sent, a ton of dog toys, some Healthy Mobility Science Diet dog food, and a Hill’s t-shirt. Zora has had Science Diet food before, so of course she likes it. But this stuff has added Omega 3 fatty acids, which is never a bad thing. If you want to try it out for your dog there’s a Hill’s Healthy Mobility Coupon on their site. If you register for the “30 day Mobility challenge“, you’ll get $30 in coupons and a chance to win tons of free dog food.
So anyway, my dog is pretty darned mobile. So I don’t know how much more mobile she can get. But she really loved playing with some new toys. She has a habit of destroying toys that aren’t Kongs, so she has only a couple surviving toys, and even though she likes chewing on them, I guess they don’t inspire her to be frisky. She’s been chasing the min tennis balls around the house all morning.
And check out how much fun she had with the little frisbee. Be careful watching this video. The baby giggles might just kill you dead with their cuteness.
So, I’m having fun playing with Zora with her new toys, and Anneliese loves it too. I think Zora is having a blast. And the bloggie camera is a pretty neat toy for me. I haven’t noticed any changes in Zora over the last several days of “new food” but like I said, she’s already pretty darned mobile, and the package also says it could take 30 days for anything noticeable. If she becomes more mobile, maybe I’ll have to start feeding her pebbles instead. I’m not sure I could keep up.
Check out Hill’s Pet Nutrition on Facebook. You can keep up with their news there, and share about your furry buddies.
Oh, and GUESS WHAT! I get to give away $1,000 to PetSmart!!! That’s not even a typo. A THOUSAND. Think of all the dog food and toys you could buy with that. I wish I could win my own prize, because seriously? That stuff adds up.

It’s our moment together and so precious! But there are also lots of holistic, grain-free kibbles and premade raw foods out there that will serve your dog much better. Your dog is so playful and very cute!
Right after Hurricane Katrina two friends and I decided to go down and help with the rescue of the animals and pets affected by the hurricane. Our husky loves playing in the water hose!

I’m not sure if my dog’s favorite activity is rolling in the grass or chasing tennis balls. She has a slight obsession with both.
(I hope this comment is within the rules of entering up to 4 times.)

I absolutely love nighttime when my dog is curled up in my lap and we’re the only ones awake. I admit that I talk to her and stroke her head while watching TV.

Another favorite moment with my dog is when I lay down on the floor and she comes up to snuggle and fits herself perfectly snug up to my tummy. She is such a cuddle bug.

I think some of our dog’s favorite activities include licking people’s feet, running really fast, and thinking about squirrels.

I’m terrible at picking favorites but we recently had a great moment. Our dog, Honey, is only allowed to play with her hard bones on our rug because on the wood floor it’s really loud when they fall. My in-laws were in town with their new puppy who had the same kind of bone. She dropped it on the wood floor and Honey immediately went to it, picked it up, and put it on the rug. So funny!
My third dog is Sugar and she really is sweet as sugar! I can’t believe someone dumped this sweet heart. She is pure bred Shitzu too. She knows I am sad right now because my Dad is close to dying from cancer. She won’t leave my side & looks worried – they don’t come any sweeter than Sugar
Another dog I have is named Foxy. Someone dumped her at an abandoned house a few miles from me. My daughter and I fed that dog for 5 months before she let us touch her. My hubby thought I would never be able to bring her home. One day though, she all of sudden made it clear that not only could I pet her, but she was coming with me. You would never guess that now, as she is very friendly & loving!
I have 3 dogs that are all rescues. I live in a very rural area and people dump animals all the time – so sad! Anyway, one funny thing about my oldest dog Poochie is that his teeth are crooked and he has the cutest smile because of that!

My favorite moment was the day I saw Flip for the first time in the Connecticut Humane Society Shelter…I saw her in a tiny cage, our eyes locked, and I fell in love instantly. I knew I had to ‘adopt’ her and she ‘adopted’ me. We are now best friends going on 12 years.
One of my most favorite moments with Flip happens almost every day. Flip looks me right in the eye with her gorgeous blue eyes, as if to say ‘Thank you for adopting me. I love you’. It just makes me melt.
Flip’s all-time favorite activity is sleeping.

Another comment about Hershey! One of his favorite (and mine) times is our nap time together!
He knows that when I grab the blanket it’s time for a nap. Even though he’s a 95 pound overweight Basset Hound, he thinks he’s a lap dog. He lays right on me and we take a little snooze in the afternoon.
Sleeping is actually one of his favorite things to do with or without me.

Well … I don’t have a dog but do have a cat and my favorite moment with her is first thing in the morning when we get up and she wants attention. She gets up beside me while I have coffee and she snuggles and purrs. It’s our moment together and so precious! I hope that qualifies me!
Thanks for this opportunity!

Favorite moment with Benny has to be when he escaped from the yard of my friend’s house on the Jersey Shore. We hadn’t been at the beach long and return to find the dog gone. First thing we did was call the local police station to report him missing. They knew exactly who we were talking about. He’d already been picked up by the USCG a couple blocks away and given to the police. A few minutes later the cop pulled up in front of the house, Benny’s head hanging out of her back window. I almost died laughing. Darn dog.

My favorite moment was Rufio was our first camping trip with him. He was really tiny and nights were so cold. He slept on the air mattress with me, under the covers. He really was my first baby.
I don’t have a dog at the moment, but I still want to enter this contest! My cat’s favorite activity is getting in my way
Literally she will climb between me and the computer any chance she gets and loves to roll around under my feet when I am cooking or cleaning in the kitchen. She even climbed on top of my chest yesterday and sat there like it was a perch. With a dwindling lap at almost 8 months pregnant, I guess she was just trying to find a little more space!
I find it surprising that you feed your family grain-free but you do not do the same for your beloved family pet. Dogs are even less capable of digesting grains than humans. It is just a cheap filler for the dog companies. Science Diet may be called “premium” but it is still rancid, inedible junk. Full of corn, by products, wood pulp and countless other scary ingredients that pet food companies are not required to list. I personally think a homemade diet of raw meaty bones and veggies is best, it is what I feed my dogs. But there are also lots of holistic, grain-free kibbles and premade raw foods out there that will serve your dog much better. Yes science diet is better than say Dog Chow, but not by much.

Thanks for your concern. I actually buy grain-free dog food for her – Canidae, Evo, Wellness… are some of the ones she’s tried. She also gets meat on occasion, but when we were feeding her raw meat+ bones, her poop was really … irregular to say the least. So we mostly use grain-free kibble versus meat now.
HOWEVER, I’m not opposed to letting her try other things like science diet – and usually use them as treats or occasional meals. Just like I reviewed the freschetta pizza (which is also processed grainy “food”) because it was a one-time small serving thing for myself… I think it’s okay to do a bit of compromising.
I have turned down NUMEROUS review opportunities though, for things like country crock “buttery spread”, jimmy dean low-fat breakfast sandwiches (WHY turkey bacon?!?!?), and so forth… which probably adds up to thousands of dollars I could’ve earned.
Now and then I compromise. I don’t think a bit of grainy dog food will harm Zora. And omg i had a biscuit today too.
My favorite moments with my fur babies are when we all snuggle in for the night and they get under the covers and cuddle against us. Also when they are besides themselves to see us come home from wherever.
I’ll give a quick rundown on my dog Hershey and my favorite part about it (or at least one of them) was actually how I got him.
Right after Hurricane Katrina two friends and I decided to go down and help with the rescue of the animals and pets affected by the hurricane. We joined forces with the Best Friends Animal Rescue in Tylertown Mississippi.
Following our experience, we were then invited to go on the Oprah show to honor volunteers of the hurrican rescue. We had an inkling that maybe this could be her big Favorites Giveaway show because of the timing near Christmas etc, but it was just wishful thinking.
I made a deal with my Husband that if it was, I would give him anything electronic from the show in exchange I would get my dog. He had been opposed to getting a dog after our last Great Dane Winston has passed on.
As you can imagine, it was the show and I was showered with gifts. I happily turned them over to my Husband and the next day we went out and got my baby Basset Hound, Hershey. Who is the love of my life!
My Husband however is now regretting the deal, the electronics have long since fizzled but my Hershey has been a daily enjoyment!

My two Boxers love to play fetch (even though they try to get you to chase them instead of bringing the toy back.)
As nutty as they are, they’re still my kiddos!

My favorite moments with my dog are when she’s loving on my kids. The baby(Em, 8mos) is still learning to be gentle so she pulls hair, pokes eyes and “pats” very hard. Through all of this Calypso lays there and stares lovingly at her. Melts my heart how sweet she is with kids.
My dog loooooves to be the center of attention, so walking anywhere with him is his favorite activity. He acts so sweet and well behaved in public. And gets so much attention because he is HUGE. Besides being Mr Popularity, he loves boat rides on the lake back home. And sleeping. A lot.
My dog loves running laps around fields. When he was younger, he’d run so fast his feet would get away from him and he’d spin out of control. I wonder if this mobility program would get him back into that kind of shape!
My dog’s fave summertime activity is following me around our garden and eating just about whatever he wants.

My dog’s favorite activity is just being with me. It didn’t matter if I’m at the computer, outside, going on a trip, just being with me makes her happy.
