13 Months Today

Today, my little girl turned 13 months old. I don’t know how much longer I’ll do these monthly updates, but I’ll try. I like having a date to remind me to write about her.

We started the morning with lots of cuddle-nursing. Then Anneliese played for a bit. I put some toys in my bedside table for her, because sometimes I just need to lay down for a bit longer since I’m pregnant and exhausted. So she plays and visits the dog (still in her crate) and I can relax a bit more until breakfast time.

A bit later in the day, we went to the playground. The swing was fun for maybe a minute before she got sad and wanted to cuddle.

So we sat on the big swing together for a while. She hugged me so tightly while we swung and enjoyed the breeze we made. I love that she loves me so much. I love her so much. I hope she never stops wanting to hug me.

Anneliese is such a BUSY girl. She wants to figure out how things go together. She stacks rings, nests cups, takes things out of containers and puts them back in, puts lids on boxes and jars (not screwing them on of course, but setting it on top). She focuses. She concentrates. She is figuring out her world.

Zora is absolutely Anneliese’s favorite. If I say, “Zora, come!” Anneliese gets excited. If she hears Zora’s tags jingling, she GASPS! She crawls the fastest when she’s crawling toward her dog, and loves when Zora greets her after a nap and she can get a few pets in.

So she also loves Zora’s crate, because she knows that’s where Zora hangs out. Today she tossed in some toys and crawled in after them. She spent a while crawling in and out of the crate and just playing. So funny! Sometimes when she’s getting tired and she’s playing in the living room, she’ll go over to Zora’s pillow bed and lie down for a bit.

I love when she laughs. I love when she smiles. I love when she gets very serious. I love when she holds tightly to me and snuggles in close. I love helping her grow.

She’s just insanely gorgeous! I love how you have her room/play area set up so she take out whatever toys she wants to play with and play with them however she wants to and has complete access and freedom. I hope when my next little one comes along I can incorporate some of that. I also LOVE the all natural wooden toys, and the idea of rotating them so she doesn’t get bored, as well as keeping some in you room in an accessible place. You are an awesome momma!!
