This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Zenni Optical for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.
I’ve seen lots of people tweeting about getting their prescription eyeglasses from Zenni Optical, and everyone seems super-happy with them. They really have a neat business… whereas most eyeglasses websites offer frames from tons of designers, Zenni makes their own frames. They don’t offer the ‘big names.” This lets them keep their prices down, and if I ever decide to get glasses again (yeah, my left eye could use the help), their site will be the first place I look for cheap eyeglasses.
Their glasses range from $6 to $46, and since you can’t try them on in person, you can upload a photo of your face so you can virtually try them. They also ask for a measurement called “pd” which is the distance between your pupils (so it tells how wide or narrow the glasses need to be to fit your face).
I remember the last time I bought glasses (a whiiiiile ago), I tried on all the frames at the optometrist’s office (most of which were too wide for my face), took photos of my favorites, looked at them later, and decided on the frame I wanted. It was over $100. So I started an internet search, and found them on a website for about $60. I made sure to get a pair that was neutral enough to wear with anything, every day, and guess what.
That’s boring.
For $60 at Zenni, I could get up to ten pairs of glasses (depending on style choice and additional options like sunglass lens tinting) which means I could get different colors and styles, to keep things interesting. Or I could just get 1-2 pairs and use the extra money for a couple fun necklaces or something. Or, you know… pay bills.
Having the option to save money on necessities like glasses is definitely a good thing “in this economy” (isn’t that the phrase everyone likes to throw around?). Pay down debt, build your savings, and stick to your budget!

These orange ones are really fun, with a floral design on the sides. And they’re only $13.

I like the modern green design on these. $30.

Loving this plum color. $10.
