Hi! I'm Emily. I'm a Navy wife and stay at home mom of two beautiful children. I cook simple, delicious, grain-free recipes, do crafts, decorate my home on a budget, and keep a happy household. I tandem breastfeed, babywear, cloth diaper, practice elimination communication, homebirth, and co-sleep, but I'm not a hippie.

I am currently pregnant with my second child. Like both of you, I was very uninformed about breastfeeding with my son. I did give it a try, but after a couple of weeks and LOTS of tears and frustration, I threw in the towel and started formula feeding. I have a lot of regret over that experience. If i’d of had a pump, which I didn’t see the importance of at the time (again, uninformed), at least I could’ve bottle fed breastmilk. This time around, I’m determined to give my baby breastmilk, no matter how he/she gets it, bottle or breast doesn’t matter as much as No Formula!! Owning a pump is a huge priority for me this time. Thank you!
Hello! I am so excited to celebrate World Breastfeeding Week for the first time!! I have 4 beautiful children, however i did not breastfeed all 4 (ugh, I could kick myself)! I was very young when I had my first and very uninformed. So when the second came along, I was like “I didn’t the first, so why try?” Then I got pregnant again and I vowed to give it a try. Still very uninformed but I tried really hard!!! After 2 1/2 weeks I gave up.
So when my 4th came along, I got help and I am a converted lady LOL I have been breastfeeding my little one for 6 months. I hope to continue until… well, I guess until I decide not to.
I would really like to have a pump of my own! Thank you for the opportunity to make a try at it! Happy Breastfeeding Week!
Wow, Kathi, our stories are almost IDENTICAL! However, I made it longer with my third.. But still didn’t make it as long as I’ve made it with my fourth
