Today is the last day of World Breastfeeding Week. How did you spend yours? Did you nurse your children, snuggling them close? Did you share your experiences with a new mom or a mother who needed support? Did you donate milk to help another mama and her baby? Did you breastfeed your baby in public, empowering other moms maybe without realizing it? Did you make a difference?
This is my little guy today after falling asleep while nursing. You can’t tell because it’s a still picture, but his little lips were moving as he “sleep nursed” the air.
I know I made a difference this week, if only to this baby boy and my toddler girl. Isn’t that kind of the point?

Hi! I'm Emily. I'm a Navy wife and stay at home mom of two beautiful children. I cook simple, delicious, grain-free recipes, do crafts, decorate my home on a budget, and keep a happy household. I tandem breastfeed, babywear, cloth diaper, practice elimination communication, homebirth, and co-sleep, but I'm not a hippie.

Thank you for the great posts this past week, Emily! I’ve bookmarked them all for the future when I have my babies
I appreciate your honesty and willingness to share and invest time providing such a useful resource. I will pass along links to anyone I hear of who might benefit from this.
