I love how just a few seasonings can turn something so simple into a wonderful meal. This week, I’ve been packing up some of our kitchen items to take on the road with us, so the kitchen is kind of a wreck. Also, I’m a bit frazzled about the move, so SIMPLE recipes are great right now.
That’s why I was so happy to try this Home Style Pork Chops recipe from McCormick.com. It’s so easy. Just some salt, pepper, paprika, and thyme. I used ground thyme because I didn’t want the big pieces of leaves.
The site has an easy way to scale recipes to fit your family (the drop down serving menu), and includes nutritional information for their recipes too.
We really enjoyed the pork chops, which were juicy and flavorful. And I truly enjoyed how easy they were to make. I just steamed some vegetables in the microwave while the pork was in the oven. Mine were thicker than the recipe called for, so I seared them in two skillets and then popped the skillets into the oven for a few minutes to finish. Then I tossed the veggies with some butter and McCormick Lemon Pepper Seasoning Salt.
There wasn’t much for my husband to wash either (he does the dishes – lucky me!) so he was pretty pleased too.
