KathyD, I've heard of using flannel as batting... but if you've felt this stuff... mmm... for a winter warmth blanket, I think this is the best choice. I may use batting or something lighter for my summer-weigh blankets later on. Helena, how exciting to be starting a family! Hancock fabrics online had a big sale of white cotton flannel recently and I bought (wait, should I really say this, it's kind of nuts) 100 yards! They are so cute!
