Helena, how exciting to be starting a family! I'd be flattered if you chose one of my blankets for your little one. :) How sweet!

annalisa, you mean... I'm not the only one??

EmmaH, I will be putting up more! I need to take some more pictures, but I have 3 more designs, three blankets of each design (so 9 more blankets). These first three are one of a kind.

KathyD, I've heard of using flannel as batting... but if you've felt this stuff... mmm... for a winter warmth blanket, I think this is the best choice. I may use batting or something lighter for my summer-weigh blankets later on.

I should have said, use a layer or two, or three, of flannel, whatever it takes to get the weight you want.

They are so cute! Another option for batting is to use a layer of plain white cotton flannel. I use flannel as interlining in lots of things. Hancock fabrics online had a big sale of white cotton flannel recently and I bought (wait, should I really say this, it's kind of nuts) 100 yards!

"Also, I keep imagining polyester melting onto people’s skin… freaks me out."

I know exactly what you mean. Being married to an SNA will mess with your head, I guess. ;-)
