More Decor

posted in Decor |

I hosted our squadron’s spouse club meeting tonight, and I thought it was a good time to take a few “decor” photos to share here. :)

#1 - the buffet/island + new Wall-O-Fam (we have 3 sets of parents and 6 siblings between our families (and two of those siblings have families of their own), and we wanted everyone up on our wall where we can see them daily since we’re so far away. ) Normally the crock pot wouldn’t be there … I was making spiced apple cider for the meeting! It turned out pretty well; I’ll post the how-to soon. And that plate of stuff is pumpkin chocolate chip pecan “bread” (aka cake). I’ll post the recipe for that soon too.

PS the set of picture frames is really simple and light and cheap… 10 frames for 2o dollars (or 16 if you use a 20% off coupon) at Bed Bath & Beyond. I love that it ties all the photos together and got so much picture frame clutter off of our buffet.

#2- Window sills with  candy corn candles and pumpkins. I think I’ve shown y’all this before, but not with the candles lit. Purty.

#3 - Another “candles lit” shot… I had posted this photo before, but with the table cut off, and I wanted y’all to see the table arrangement with the white pumpkins and the candles… love it. Oh, and more pumpkin chocolate chip stuff… that recipe makes a LOT. Like, way too much. I need to take a plate of it around base with me tomorrow or something.

#4 - I had posted this nook earlier, minus the painted wall… so here it is on the new color, with the candle lit. Love this too.

The meeting/social was fun, and if you’re reading this and you came, thanks for coming! Everyone brought lots of yummy stuff, and the husband guy kept the dog occupied so she wouldn’t eat all the pumpkin bread and jump on everyone.

I wanted to post photos of the dining room as a whole, too, but they all turned out too dark… and when I tried to edit them into niceness, they were way too grainy. So that’ll have to be later…

I pretty much love that you used the Facebook pictures of siblings that you threatened to use if they didn’t give you better ones!

Jodi, thanks so much for all the nice words and smiley faces! :) Glad you’re enjoying my blog.

Joy, of course I did! I wanted recent photos, and those are the most recent, right? I’ll replace them when they send prettier pictures. hehe.

You’ve done a great job making your abode a home from what I can tell, and you inspire me! I love your family pics and especially the collage of you and your husband over the sweet shelf.
