Darphin Paris Review and Product Giveaway

Darphin Paris Review and Gift Basket Giveaway

I was recently lucky enough to get a nice little gift bag from Darphin Paris full of products to review. They sent me things especially for dry skin, since I live in such a dry climate and need to remember to moisturize. I really like two of the three products, and I think other people would like the third, but the scent just isn’t up my alley.

Hydraskin Essential:

This is a really nice all-day moisturizer for all skin types. I found that it went on really smoothly, not sticky or watery, and the scent is fresh and clean. It’s great for putting on before bed to moisturize overnight, or in the morning under your makeup. For the trial period, I’ve been applying it to my face and neck after each shower, instead of my usual coconut oil, and I’ve found that it leaves my skin as moisturized as my normal routine does. Other lotions and moisturizers I’ve tried have felt good immediately, but after a while require another application or make me feel like I have to ALSO apply my coconut oil. The Darphin Hydraskin Essential really does the job, and smells really fresh (without being overpowering) too, which is a plus.

Age-Defying Lip Balm:

I’m not sure if my lips look younger when I put this on… (What does that mean?) but they feel soft and smooth. This is the one I don’t really like though, just because it has a flowery “clean” smell that reminds me of, well, soap. So in my mind it’s like rubbing soap on my lips. It just doesn’t “match” to me. It’s a nice smell, and I wouldn’t mind washing my hands with it.

Hydrating Kiwi Mask:

This was my favorite, and made my face feel really good. It felt tingly and fresh almost like a face-friendly version of icy-hot. The only thing I wasn’t sure about is if I used it correctly or not. The directions say to rub it on thickly and then let it sit for 3-5 minutes, then wipe off. Sounds simple enough, but when I applied it, and TRIED to do it thickly, it kept rubbing in. So by the time 3-5 minutes had passed, it was mostly absorbed into my skin and there wasn’t much to wipe away. I was imagining something thick and green that smelled like kiwis. Though it wasn’t what I expected, it was really lovely and made my face feel soft the whole next day.

    Actually they all sound wonderful but after looking in the mirror this morning I have to say I really need the Dark Circles and De-puffing Eye Serum. I have such dark circles and my eyes are so puffy from lack of a good nights sleep.

    The main thing I do is moisturize and stay out of the sun. I’m starting to see some signs of aging anyway though at age 47 so I’d love to try Anti-Dark Spots Perfecting Treatment!!! Thanks for a chance to win and have a great day!

    I would definitely want the SOLEIL PLAISIR, it sounds nearly like a great moisturizer with SPF 30 built in. I need sunscreen everyday and I don’t really wanna apply 2 different products as I feel really oily after that. So, I want that one that protects, prevents and heals. This sounds like it does it all. I hope I win! (;

    thanks for holding this wonderful giveaway! the Darphin product I would love the most to try is the Purifying Balm. I have horribly congested skin and I think this would do a great job of unclogging my pores without being overly abrasive.

    I would like to try the cleansing balm because I need to wash my face all the time living in a humid climate, and then it gets too dry so it breaks out. That product looks like it might prevent the drying out so much.
