Dehydrated Green Superfood Powder for Smoothies

Here's how to make green superfood powder for smoothies (dehydrated and blended) and other healthy recipes. Try adding it to your favorite brownie recipe - you won't even know it's there! Also great for soups, marinara sauce, and frittatas.

  • Spinach
  • Kale
  • Watercress
  • Collard Greens
  • Turnip Greens
  • Beet Greens
  • Carrot Tops
  • Bok Choy
  • Chinese Cabbage
  • Broccoli or broccoli stems
  • leaves Celery or ends
  • Any other edible greens you have on hand or have access to!


  1. Wash your greens in water with a splash of vinegar.
  2. Lay on a towel to dry a bit.
  3. Fill your dehydrator with the greens.
  4. Dehydrate at around 100-115 degrees Fahrenheit for 24-48 hours or until the thickest parts of the stems are completely brittle and will snap.
  5. Fill your high-speed blender with the dehydrated greens.
  6. Blend with a towel over the lid so that the powder won't escape into your kitchen.
  7. Gently tip the green superfood powder onto a piece of waxed paper. Tap the blender's sides and lid with the handle of a spatula to release more powder.
  8. Use the waxed paper to slide the powder into a jar for storage.
  9. Enjoy your homemade green superfood powder!
